365 Project: Improv Shows: Opera Improviso →
This is an improv form I would *LOVE* to play with! 365improvshows: Only improvisors with amazing voices should attempt this. Basically, Opera Improviso is just that; an improvised opera. All dialogue is sung in a recitative style and scenes are occasionally punctuated by full arias. Each character is given a theme, a piece of music that will serve as the basis…

Want to go shooting with me at a Flatiron rifle... →
Zozi, similar to Groupon and other daily deal sites, has 15 packages left at the Westside Rifle and Pistol Range.  It’s $32 for a 2 hour package including equipment and instruction in use of a .22 rifle.  Please note they can only be redeemed on Wednesday nights thru April.  I’m buying one - if you’re interested and pick one up, let me know and we can go together!

What the NYT don't know about nerds... →
…is a lot!  But I must give NYT lots of props for doing an article on a favorite performer of mine, Eli “Paperboy” Reed and the Trueloves.  I saw him open for The Cat Empire at an outdoor concert in Boston years ago.  Ever since, I’ve been sighing wistfully and batting my eyelashes when I hear the word “paperboy.”

This woman’s story is absolutely fascinating!  She founded the department of Legal Medicine at Harvard and was the first female police captain in the United States.  She even incorporated her love of dolls in to crime scene reproduction.
